Modern boat house convertion Loft Bom Jardim juts out dramatically into the calm protected waters of the Bay with 3 bedrooms, high ceilings and use of glass to accentuate the incredible sea views.

Close by, larger Villa Bom Jardim - classical colonial style recently reimagined by renowned Brazilian architect Marcos Tomanik - has 7 bedrooms, beautiful large gardens and direct access to the coconut and palm tree fringed beach.

Both houses come fully serviced - with cook, housekeeper, caretaker and butler - the houses offer a unique, high end Brazilian coastal experience like no other.

Senderos Soul

Once upon a time...as countless travellers had before ...we fell in love with a small Brazilian town called Paraty that lay below the heavily forested mountains of the Serra da Bocaina. One day taking a bright pink local boat - ‘Rock in Rio’ - to explore we dropped anchor and coasted in quietly towards land as a turtle swam under through clear water. i pinched myself, i had never been anywhere like this, only reached by sea, it was a new, magical feeling.

Another family fell for Paraty and its bay long before us, a fascinating story of three generations spanning 50 years. Now Sandra Foz and her son Sandi have opened two incredible private houses, their homes - to share their deep love of this town, this region, its exuberant nature and the warm, proudly independent caiçara people that call it home.

Leave the roads and cars behind, cast off, and stay where the water laps at your feet; the natural playground of one the world's most beautiful marine environments awaits discovery. Every year I return I pinch myself again...and dive in.

Loft R$10,000 per day (maximum 6 people)

Villa: R$20,000 per day (maximum 12 people)

Rates include: Check in by boat from the Marina, check out by boat from Villa, up to 3 boat trip per day to Paraty (trips into the Bay not included), Housekeeper, Chef (to prepare the menu approved, ingredients and drinks charged extra at check out)

If one of the houses is taken the other remains empty, ensuring total exclusivity and privacy
If the same party rents both, an Orca or Freeway speedboat is included (petrol charged extra)
Explore the private 30.000 m² garden and private botanical garden with more than 5000 jussara palm, lychee and passion fruit trees
A trail from right behind the main house, runs through the Atlantic rainforest.
Another leads to Tapera’s Fort, also inside the property, where three cannons from colonial times point to the sea. From the top, there is a panoramic view of Paraty bay, the historic center, the chapels and churches.

Bom Jardim is only accessible by sea, 10 minutes by boat from Paraty in southeast Brazil.

Rainy Season (Dec to March): The hottest and busiest time of year: it generally rains mid afternoon and freshens things up. Temperatures range from 23-29 degrees C. but it can be hotter

Mild Season (April to June and Sept to Nov): Few people, warm weather. Temperatures range from 22-28 degrees C.

Winter (July to August): Generally dry and cooler at night.
